Valhalla 0.3.0 first public release
The date and the final notes are written when the release is cut; this is the draft.
The first version anyone can download: six members at one table, with your skills and your knowledge, in a window of its own on macOS and Windows.
Installing
- A disk image for Macs, Apple silicon and Intel, and a per-user installer for Windows that needs no administrator password. Each carries its own Python, so the only thing to install first is the AI tool you already use.
Updates
- Updates from inside the app. Once a day Valhalla asks this site for the newest version and offers it in Settings › Advanced › Window › About. The download is checked against its published checksum before it opens, and you can turn the check off.
Windows
- Valhalla finds Claude Code where Windows installs it, no console window flashes while it works, and the window has its own icon.
Missions
- A project can have a mission. Ask the council in a conversation and a member drafts the phases and the criteria for each. You decide what is kept, and every conversation in the project works from it.
A new icon
- The app icon is now the mead hall. The launch screen keeps its painting.
What this edition is
- This is the personal edition. It is the Valhalla window, for one person, free for noncommercial use. Accounts, the admin console, the shared library and the phone app belong to the commercial edition.
